This site, we, Emma & Mike, use affiliate links...

But please don't be concerned, they actually make no different to how you shop at all!

What Is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing is the process by which an affiliate, ie us, earns a commission for marketing another person’s or company’s products. The affiliate simply searches for a product they enjoy, then promotes that product and earns a piece of the profit from each sale they make. The sales are tracked via affiliate links from one website to another.

So, I find something I absolutely love online, I think it would work perfectly in the cabin and fits my style, I may choose to purchase this item, I may not, but I want to share it with you, the seller is part of SkimLinks or Awin so I use a special link which directs you to the item from this site. As you click the link the seller puts a cookie on your browser, this tells the seller you've arrived at the site from my site, they store this on your browser for up to 30 days, so if you go back in a week and purchase, they still know you've found the item from me.

So whats in it for me? Sometimes I am paid per click, so each time you visit the site via my link I get a tiny amount of money back, lets say 2p, however, this is in the minority, most sites pay me a commission if you choose to make a purchase from them while the cookie is in your browser. This makes absolutely no difference to you, you do not pay more, you do not pay less (unless I give you a discount code), you simply shop as through you found the site through google, I don't know what you've purchased or when, or see any of your details, I just get told someone who clicked from your site has spent £35 and you have earned 3% of this = £1.05 for example.

Not every link on here is an affiliate, for example, Etsy hasn't allowed us into their program so links to here are just normal links.
